Rekortan M and LigaTurf Legend in Hajnówka’s sports and leisure complex, Poland

Versatile sports activities at the highest level

The Polish town of Hajnówka is located near the Belarusian border, close to the Białowieża National Park, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The community offers diverse sports activities, including forest running, marathon, athletics, and football. At the local sports and leisure complex, known as Ośrodek Sportu i Rekreak (OSiR), trainers and teachers have been systematically working with children and adolescents from nearby schools for many years. Their aim is to instill in young people the awareness that sporting activities are not only modern but also crucial for both physical and mental well-being. A prime example of this effort is the presence of four active football teams, with players aged between 8 and 16 years. The sports and leisure complex in Hajnówka features an athletics stadium with a 400-meter four-lane circular track. Integrated within it are a six-lane sprint track, long jump and triple jump facilities, a shot put area, and two runways for javelin throw. The complex also includes a natural grass football field with an automatic irrigation system, a separate training football field measuring 22x52 meters, two beach volleyball courts, two tennis courts, and a swimming pool complex with an outdoor water park. The facility, completed in the fall of 2023, features running tracks outfitted with our Rekortan M in sky blue, as well as jump and throw event runways. Rekortan M is our proven classic among synthetic surfaces and is recognized worldwide as a competition surface. It ensures exceptional acceleration, speed, increased elasticity, and outstanding shock absorption, appreciated by both athletes and sports medicine experts alike. On the adjacent small football pitch, our partner Panorama Obiekty Sportowe installed our LigaTurf Legend, the proven powerhouse in terms of performance. This football turf, with its multi-shape filament cross-section, achieves optimal resilience. The unique technology ensures a perfectly consistent playing experience, as evidenced by numerous certifications meeting key international standards. Additionally, the specially designed filament cross-section delivers ball roll and gameplay characteristics similar to natural grass. Visually, the broader filaments provide excellent coverage, while the bi-color design ensures a fresh, natural appearance. The high wear resistance of the filaments was rigorously tested in laboratories, ensuring the remarkable and increasingly demanded durability of this turf system, which also contributes significantly to sustainability.
