Synthetic Surfaces
Kunststoffbeläge von Polytan sind Hightech-Produkte, die je nach Einsatzzweck aus unterschiedlichen Komponenten zusammengesetzt werden. Kunststoffbelagsysteme sind komplexe Aufbauten, bei denen je nach Anforderung unterschiedliche Materialien zu einem ideal auf den gewünschten Einsatzzweck abgestimmten Belag kombiniert werden. Polytan Kunststoffbeläge können wasserdurchlässig oder -undurchlässig, gieß- oder schüttbeschichtet, massiv oder mehrschichtig ausgeführt werden. Die Ausführung erfolgt immer als nahtlose, fest eingebaute Konstruktion. Installiert werden Polytan Kunststoffbeläge in der Regel auf eine Asphalttragschicht, die wiederum auf einer ungebundenen Tragschicht und ggf. einer Filterschicht sitzt.
Synthetic Surface Systems
The configuration of the entire floor system ensures a high degree of variability. The base layer under the surface provides the necessary cushioning and elasticity. The durability of the synthetic athletic floors is guaranteed by their resistance to temperature and UV radiation, colour stability, as well as abrasion and tensile strength. The surface coating is made from high-quality EPDM granules, available in both smooth and textured finishes. The construction, thickness, shape, quantity, and distribution of granules play a significant role in determining functional sports properties such as energy efficiency and shock absorption.
Textured Surface
Textured track surfaces are ideal for international competitions, training facilities for ambitious clubs and sports schools, as well as for municipal sports facilities. These surfaces are also suitable for use with spiked footwear.
Smooth Surface
Robust, multifunctional sports surfaces with a smooth finish are ideal for schools, recreational sports, and municipal facilities. Smooth surfaces in various thicknesses are also used as fall-protection flooring.
Base Layer
The base layer, made of rubber granules and polyurethane binder, ensures the necessary elasticity. Depending on the installation thickness and granule shape, the surface achieves precisely defined cushioning, creating optimal conditions for specific sports disciplines or for fall-protection purposes.

Possible Features
PolySeal – Structured Surface Sealing
Daily use and especially improper use (such as concerts or events) of running tracks and sports surfaces can cause damage. Further use of already damaged surfaces can lead to additional granule loss. Polytan offers PolySeal surface sealing as an option to effectively protect tracks and sports surfaces. PolySeal does not alter the original synthetic properties and maintains the same quality. Sealants are low-viscosity, abrasion-resistant PU coatings that are either sprayed or rolled onto the existing synthetic surface, so even structured surfaces pose no problem. Polytan PolySeal coatings provide increased abrasion resistance, reduced dirt retention for easier cleaning, and additional UV protection, enhancing the surface visually. Sealants are applied either to new installations or retrofitted later for existing installations.

Inspecs® - Inspection inserts for playgrounds with fall-protection surfaces
The installation, regular inspection and maintenance of playground equipment must comply with the requirements of the applicable standard DIN EN 1176-1:2017. The playground operator is responsible for ensuring compliance. Since 2018, the foundations of playground equipment must also be inspected by an expert as part of the main annual inspection. For this purpose, these must be freely accessible in the fall-protection surfacing.
Inspecs® inspection inserts for fall-protection surfacing enable quick and uncomplicated inspection of the foundations on vertical and inclined posts without the need for patches, costly repairs or days of playground closures. In addition, Inspecs® inspection inserts fulfil the fall-protection properties of the surrounding fall-protection surfacing required by DIN EN 1177 and can also be installed retrospectively.
The Inspecs® inspection inserts are suitable for all common fall-protection surfaces and are available in 24 standard colours. Special colours can be provided on request.
