Since August 1, 2017, the young talents of the U9 to U19 teams and the women's teams of FC Bayern have been training at the new FC Bayern Campus. Within sight of the Allianz Arena, a €70 million state-of-the-art football academy was built on a former military site covering 30 hectares. At the request of the German record champions, Polytan sports flooring systems were installed over approximately 22,000 square meters: two full-size pitches, two mini-pitches, as well as the fitness, technical, and coordination areas, were equipped with Polytan artificial turf. In addition, Polytan synthetic surfaces were the optimal choice for the basketball court and the circular track – the basketball court was fitted with the durable all-purpose surface PolyPlay S, while the circular track features the professional sports surface Rekortan M, which ensures true competition quality. Both areas are finished in classic brick red. For the artificial turf, FC Bayern Munich chose the LigaTurf RS Pro II CoolPlus system, which, combined with the Infill Bionic Fibre granulate, represents the latest state-of-the-art technology in professional football.
