Polytan|STI synthetic turf: more than an alternative
Many national and international amateur and professional clubs have successfully relied on synthetic pitches for years. No matter, for example, whether it’s football, rugby, American football, tennis or hockey – Polytan|STI offers a solution for the widest variety of sports. The advantages of synthetic turf are obvious: synthetic turf systems allow games to be played outdoors more or less regardless of the weather, whilst playing qualities remain consistently excellent. On top of this, synthetic turf is particularly hardwearing and is characterised by a long lifespan. This is guaranteed not least by the Polytan|STI system design, which has optimum shock absorption properties to protect players from lingering injuries. Depending on their intended use, synthetic turf systems are unfilled or filled – the individual components used are produced at our own plant in Germany. Polytan|STI relies entirely on high-quality formulations of monofilament fibres which have specially designed cross-sections to ensure that the synthetic turf system is particularly long lasting. The synthetic turf systems made by our company comply with the current DIN-SPEC 18035 part 7.
In addition to this, Polytan has been a FIFA Preferred Producer together with Sports Technology International (STI) since October 2011. Not only does this mean that Polytan|STI is one of nine companies that meet the highest standards stipulated by FIFA for synthetic turf in terms of its quality, performance and safety, but as a licensee in the FIFA Quality Programme for Football Turf programme, Polytan|STI also has the most FIFA 2 Star Standard recertifications worldwide – proof of the performance and sustainability of the system design and of the high-quality synthetic turf from Polytan|STI.
